All right, Nate has completed some new tabs: Castaway and All By Myself. We should be getting into full swing now that summer is long gone. Expect a new bass tab from me in a week or two if I can get around to it. Stay tuned...

Nathan added a guitar tab for Redundant. Enjoy your summer...

After several months of delay, we finally have some new tabs for you. Due to the obvious restrictions on time, I am handing over the guitar tabbing responsibilities to Nathan Fisher. Thus, I will only be composing bass tabs from here on in, unless there is something that I really want to add. His first tab is Basket Case, and he did a marvelous job on it. If you want to reach him, you can e-mail him at emailnathanF@aol.com. I did the bass tab for Outsider, a classic Ramones cover. Check back in a week or two for more tabs.

After much delay, I finally have some new tabs for you. Lately I had just not felt like listening (or much less tabbing) any Green Day. The new guitar tab is Going to Pasalacqua, and it is in a new format that I saw recently while checking out some other tabs online. I really like it because it gives you chord diagrams and it saves me a lot of time; the down side is that it doesn't include strumming patterns (although I figure that it's easy enough to figure out for this song anyway). Send me any comments or complaints about this. Unless I get a bunch of people who can't stand this format, expect to see many tabs much like this in the future.
The new bass tab for this week is Macy's Day Parade, though it is not a complete file (I haven't figured out the chorus to my liking yet). I had been working on Going to Pasalacqua to coincide with the guitar tab, but then I started to download a video that gives me some better camera angles on the bass. Thus, I need to study this closely and see what I need to change. I don't know when this will be up because I still need to finish the download, plus it will take quite awhile to analyze the video. On that note, I didn't want the bass players to go another week without a tab. That's why I put up the part of Macy's Day Parade that I am absolutely positive about (of course taken from a live video). I might continue posting exerpts of the bass tabs like this with just the parts that I really know well; that way I'll be able to put up greater quantities of tabs for you. For the parts I don't include, just go to your favorite tab site and use what is posted for now. Again, send me any comments or complaints you have with this.

No new tab yet. I had too much homework and other stuff to do this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to post them during the week if I have enough time.

I'm currently working on Going to Pasalacqua. Should have it up this weekend. I didn't post anything new this past weekend on account of the fact that I posted the Ballad of Wilhelm Fink sometime in the middle of last week. Bass players could check that out too and work out one of their own basslines for that song.

Yesterday (1/7/03) I was watching the local news here in Milwaukee when I found out that Billie Joe was arrested for DUI. I alerted François and he found that article from Yahoo. He said that the situation seemed a lot like The Ballad of Wilhelm Fink, so I decided to tab it for you. (I love this song!) It's in a different format than usual, but it's easy enough to figure out.

I've been working really hard to put up a tab from 1,039/SOSH. I was going to put up Disappearing Boy this week, but I need some more time to finish it. In the meantime, I scrambled to type out Brain Stew. Look at it this way: if any of you got a new instrument for Christmas, this would be perfect for learning your first tune!

Well, the much anticipated Longview is finally complete. From now on I think I'm going to post tabs every Monday instead of on Sunday. That way I have the whole weekend to finish the tab. Happy holidays!
December 16, 2002
Well, I'm really close to having the Longview tabs done but I'm still working on some of the strumming patterns. I'll get the tab up as soon as I can, though I will be busy with semester exams this week. I might not get it up until next weekend.

Hey guys, sorry I didn't get the tab up yesterday; I had a busy weekend. This week I did Good Riddance. Unfortunately for you bass players, you'll have to wait until next week, although last weeks tab should be keeping you busy.

The new tab this week is No One Knows, one of my personal favorites. I didn't put a tab up last week with all that was going on with the new server. Sorry about that. Anyway, it was nice to take a break for a week.

New tab of the week is Espionage, a cool little spy tune from the Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me soundtrack. Is it just me or does this song kind of sound like "Wipeout" by the Beach Boys? Anyway, enjoy!

New tab of the week is Minority. I tried something new with the guitar strumming pattern for this song. Instead of rewriting the chord over and over, I put letters at the bottom of the bar to indicate durations of the strums. Let me know if you like this method better or not. Also, I updated the chorus of Hitchin' A Ride for both guitar and bass. I noticed that the F#5 chord comes in half a beat later than I had it previously. Next week I plan on putting up something from Shenanigans, so stay tuned!

I have significantly altered the Hitchin' A Ride tabs for both guitar and bass. Thanks to Greg Poust for helping me out on the bass tab (which also affected the guitar tab). For the guitar tab, pay special attention to the modified End riff. The bass tab changed in both the End riff and the bridge. I also made the Main Riff a little more clear in both tabs. Hope this helps!

New tab of the week is Hitchin' A Ride. I haven't had the chance to revise the old guitar tabs for strumming patterns, but I'll get to that as soon as I can. By the way, thanks to all of you who have been e-mailing me with comments and suggestions for the tabs. I'd like to hear from a few more bass players, so let me know what you think of the tabs thus far.
October 27, 2002
In regards to the poll about strumming patterns, I have received some e-mails saying that including strumming patterns would be helpful, so as of now that's what I'll do. I'll be editing the previously done tabs as well to fit this style. They should be up sometime this week.
October 20, 2002
To all guitar players: would you prefer the guitar tabs to include the strumming patterns, or are the chords enough for you to figure them out? E-mail me with your preferences. To all bass players: I have made some slight modifications to the chorus of the "When I Come Around" bass tab, so look it over again for the changes.
